After losing the semis to the Netherlands 0-3, India is now focused on their all-important bronze medal match against England on Tuesday, at the FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup. Back in 2013 too, the Netherlands had beaten India in the semis too and later latter beat England to clinch bronze.

India lost 3-0 against the Netherlands in the FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup 2022 semi-finals in Potchefstroom, South Africa. Even after Tessa Beetsma gave the Dutch team an early lead, the Indian team stayed in game, but two late goals by Luna Fokke and Jip Dicke put a stop to resistance.

The FIH Hockey Women's Junior World Cup 2021 has been put on hold due to the new Covid variant found in South Africa. The FIH, the South African Hockey Association, and the North-West University of Potchefstroom have decided that the event cannot take place given the current situation.
